Open Space Projects Officer

Position No. 674

Temporary Full time from 13 May 2024 until 13 September 2024.

Band 6 - $87,590 - $95,340 yearly, plus 11% statutory superannuation

We are looking for a motivated and qualified candidate who will be responsible for the Natural Environment and Parks unit capital projects. You will do this by leading the work crews and contractors in the development of Wellington Shire Council’s high profile landscape areas.

You will need to show high level leadership skills and have experience in directing and supervising work teams to implement these projects. A clear understanding of budgets and a high level of customer service will be necessary.

We are looking for someone with:

Significant practical experience in planning and delivering Open Space capital projects.
A sound understanding of Australian playground safety standards.
Certificate IV in Horticulture would be desirable.
Experience in the operations and services of light plant.
Knowledge and ability to effectively use Microsoft office suite of products
Project coordination experience.
