Are you a proud member of the Association of Professional Engineers Australia (APEA) or the Australian Services Union (ASU)? Here's an exciting opportunity to become a crucial part of our Consultative Committee!
What the Consultative Committee Does:
The Consultative Committee provides a vital platform for employees to discuss matters affecting staff across our Council. Committee members contribute to discussions on organisational changes, policies, processes, and systems improvements that impact employees.
Key functions of the Consultative Committee:
- Facilitate effective communication between management and staff.
- Ensure organisational changes align with employment conditions and the Council's Enterprise Agreement.
- Contribute to negotiations for new Enterprise Agreements.
- Make recommendations on system/process improvements and employment conditions.
What’s involved for members:
Commitment to attend monthly one-hour meetings, participation in policy reviews, and group discussions. Flexibility is key, and meeting times can be adjusted to accommodate members' schedules.
Vacancies available
- One (1) Professionals Australia representative, ideally an engineer.
- Two (2) existing staff members who are ASU members and willing to represent other ASU members as part of the committee. (You don't have to be a union delegate to apply.)
