EEO Committee Contact Officer
Job No:
WSC20589
Location:
Sale, VIC
Expression of Interest (EOI)
Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Committee
Contact Officers
We are pleased to announce we are seeking nominations from staff who are interested in joining our Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Committee!
What’s that?
The EEO Committee provides a forum for the promotion and discussion of equal employment opportunities, access and inclusion, anti-bullying/harassment, discrimination and human rights matters affecting current and potential employees.
What role could I play in this?
Committee members are trained Contact Officers – first points of contact that staff might feel comfortable talking to if they have any concerns relating to equal employment opportunity. The committee will also provide input into promoting a workplace free of discrimination, victimisation and harassment, and have input into applicable training, practices and policies to make this happen. Training and support will be also provided to assist members in responding to those sensitive issues relating to equal opportunity and human rights.
What’s the commitment?
Committee members are on deck for a 3 year term, and meetings will generally be quarterly, held online or in person, for ½ an hour to 1 hour.
I’m interested!
For a further chat about what might be involved, feel free to reach out to Erin O'Neill or MegShelton.
We’re seeking to fill a number of staff representative positions; if we receive more than we need, our current committee members will have a vote to make sure we have the fairest representation of our workforce; giving preference to the representation of diversity.
How to Apply
If you’d like to be part of the Committee, please submit your application below and let us know why you’d like to be involved.
Applications close 11:59pm Sunday 7 April 2024.
