School Crossing Supervisor Reliever

Casual positions available 

$36.11 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus industry allowance and 11% statutory superannuation (if applicable)

Would you like to help deliver a safe environment for our school children to carefully cross roads within our municipality? 

We are seeking to appoint a number of reliable and community focused individuals to monitor Wellington Shire’s school crossings to ensure the safety of our students and families and reduce the risks for children coming and going from school. 

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate an ability to understand, relate to and communicate with young children. You will be required to follow safety processes and road rules whilst supervising the crossings during the morning and afternoon shift Monday – Friday on designated school days as required. Please note that this position requires constant standing, frequent walking, adequate hearing, clear vision and the ability to hold a stop traffic sign.

• Satisfactory National Police Record Clearance
• Working with Children Check.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below: 

• Good communications skills. 
• Ability to concentrate, be attentive and display good temperament around young children.
• Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility for self and others under your care.
• Demonstrated reliability, honesty and punctuality.
