Senior Revenue Officer

Position No. 577

Temporary Full Time (up to 14 months)

Band 5 $68,035 – 78,202 per annum plus 9.5% statutory superannuation 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised team player with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to join our Rates team in a temporary, full time capacity.

This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate well in a fast paced, complex environment and be capable of managing competing priorities in a delivery focused high performing team.

As the Senior Revenue Officer your key responsibilities are:

  • Manage and complete council’s debt collection process and receivables management services.
  • Monthly reporting and processing.
  • Verifying and Processing of all municipal rate concessions (including pensions).
  • Application and processing of special charge schemes.
  • Assist customers with rate queries including payment arrangements.

 All whilst providing high level quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

 If you have high level numeracy skills with experience in a debt collection role and thrive on providing excellent customer service, then we want to hear from you!

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below: 

  • Tertiary qualification in a property related discipline or several years’ experience working with a property/rating system desirable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • High level experience in debt collection processes would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain on track and focused within a high volume, deadline driven environment.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment as a productive, contributing team member.
