Front of House Attendant (The Wedge Performing Arts Centre)

Position No. 585

Casual Band 1 $42.95 per hour inclusive of casual and special engagement loading plus statutory superannuation (junior rates will apply if under 21).

Availability to work nights and weekends is essential.

A unique and exciting opportunity exists to become an integral part of the Front of House team at the Wedge Performing Arts Centre, located in Sale. The Wedge Performing Arts Centre houses a 390-seat theatre, 50-seat black box studio, cafe and dining facilities, function and rehearsal rooms. 

In this role, your key responsibilities will be to provide support and customer service to patrons, operate the ticketing system in the Box Office for sales whilst balancing a cash float and assist in the smooth operation of events and performances held and the Centre.

You will possess strong communication skills, a proven customer service background and be able to demonstrate confidence in the use of computers.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below: 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and determine a logical approach to problem solving.  
  • Outstanding customer service skills with proven experience in a customer facing role.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software such as the Box Office ticketing system.
  • Ability to work well and contribute to a team environment.
  • An interest in the performing arts and hospitality industry experience desirable.
