Temporary Part-Time (up to 12 months)
Band 3 $27,975 - $29,821 per annum (Pro-rata figure based on 0.5EFT), plus 9.5% statutory superannuation
Are you keen to contribute to the aesthetics and ambiance of your community? Do you have a passion for horticulture? We are seeking a Horticulturalist to join the Natural Environment and Parks Team in a temporary part-time capacity for a period of up to 12 months.
In this role, you will assist in the provision of a variety of horticultural works programs. These may focus on a variety of horticulture functions including the maintenance of municipal parks and gardens, tree planting, and garden bed maintenance. Applicants with an eye for detail and a genuine commitment to quality outcomes are strongly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below:
- Tertiary qualification in Horticulture (Certificate III or above) or significant relevant experience.
- Experience in the maintenance of parks and gardens including grass and sports turf maintenance, tree planting and maintenance, and garden bed maintenance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of horticulture, including methods, plants and materials especially herbicides & pesticides.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work alone or in a team.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence (medium rigid truck licence preferable).
