Permanent full-time/Temporary full-time
$64,093 - $73,836 per annum plus 9.5% statutory superannuation
We recognise that a great organisation is about great people and we’re looking to add to our valued Local Laws team. In this role you will be engaging with the community to provide advice and education to the public as well as undertaking enforcement action as necessary. You will perform a diverse range of tasks including responding to customer enquiries, implementation of fire prevention programs, carrying out parking enforcement, local and state law enforcement duties, domestic animal and livestock management.
Applicants will require a customer focus, understanding of the relevant acts, regulations and local laws applicable to local government, well developed conflict resolution skills, and the ability to negotiate with a diverse range of people. A current Victorian driver’s licence is essential.
We currently have one temporary full time position (12 month temporary contract) and one full time position.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below:
- Demonstrated advanced communication, customer service and negotiation skills.
- Experience in enforcement processes and reading and interpreting Acts, Regulations and Local Laws.
- Developed organisational and self-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in animal management with Certificate IV in Animal Management (preferred).
