Road Management and Operations General Operator, Position No.805
Band 2 $52,606 - $53,987 per annum plus 9.5% statutory superannuation
An opportunity exists at our Yarram depot for an enthusiastic and experienced Road Management and Operations General Operator to provide general support services to the road crew including truck driving, tractor operation, loader operation, grass cutting and labouring resources.
The successful applicant will be a team player with skills and extensive experience in all aspects of plant operation for the construction and maintenance of roads. Success in this position will rely on your ability to work under minimal supervision and communicate effectively with the community.
If you are self-motivated with a good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety in relation to the operation of machinery, we look forward to receiving your application.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below:
- Ability to operate tractors, trucks, loaders, plant and equipment used for road maintenance.
- Knowledge and understanding of materials, methods and procedures used in road maintenance and construction.
- Sound written and oral ability, capacity to undertake Certificate III level training in Civil Construction Road Maintenance and Construction.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for a career in Local Government road maintenance.
