Band 6-7 $77,474.38 - $97,161.59 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications) plus 9.5% statutory superannuation

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Civil Project Engineer with a desire for a career in capital projects implementation. This fantastic opportunity exists for an individual with relevant tertiary qualifications and skills in the areas of project management and implementation including investigation, design, tendering and contract management.  Qualifications, training or experience in pavement design and asphalt or bituminous sprayed seals would be highly desirable.

The role offers a variety of challenging functions, with a diverse mix of both field and office work.  Your key duties will include project management of building construction, roads, bridge and drainage and will generally require you to take the project from concept to completion.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below:

  • Several years’ experience in civil/municipal construction and maintenance work (5+ years).
  • High level experience in preparing specifications and managing contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including report writing).
  • Ability to achieve objectives within adopted timeframes and budget.
  • Ability to gain cooperation and assistance from stakeholders.
